Located in the Rose Park South historical district of Long Beach, this home had many of its original details and built-in cabinets still intact and in excellent condition but it was a little short on space.
The owners wanted to add a den and another bathroom. Because the house is in a historical district every effort was made to make the addition look like it had always been a part of the house. Interior and exterior details replicated the originals. A pass-thru counter opened the kitchen up to the new den, a three-quarter bath was added to match origingal details, new roofing replaced the old, and the exterior of the house received a fresh coat of paint with a historically appropriate palette.
